Redistributing A Rating

The ratings and other information contained in Weiss Ratings' products and on this website are copyrighted and may not be reproduced without the express written consent of Weiss Ratings, Inc. Any copying, displaying, selling, distributing, or otherwise delivering of this information without such written consent is strictly prohibited, except by a reviewer or editor who may quote brief passages and news releases in connection with a review or a news story.

That being said, there are actually several ways that you can pursue redistributing a Weiss rating. As noted above, members of the press are permitted to use Weiss Ratings' news releases and other content in connection with a review or news story.

Also, if you are with a rated company, you can generally redistribute your own company's rating free of charge as long as we are given an advance opportunity to review the materials. Please go to Publicizing Your Rating for more information.

All other redistribution requests will generally require the payment of some sort of fee which varies depending on the nature of the request. One option you may want to consider is purchasing a bulk quantity of a particular Weiss Ratings product and thereby receiving a significant discount off of our regular product pricing. This route does not require any additional redistribution fees, and gives you immediate access to a professional quality report that is ready to go. Alternatively, we also license our ratings and other information for redistribution in other customized ways. Simple requests can be quoted the same day and handled with a letter of consent.
